MIG 15  The MIG-15 was one of the first successful swept wing jet fighters ever built.  It is believed to have been manufactured in larger numbers than any other jet plane (possibly as many as 18,000).   The MIG-15 was the primary adversary of the F-86 Sabre in the skies over Korea. MIG 17  Based on the MIG-15, the MIG 17 was one of the primary planes flown by the veitnamese / communists during the vietnam war.   It is distinguishable by the 3 wing fences, as opposed to 2 on the MIG-15, and a compound wing angle.  The MIG-17 also benefitted from the addition of a radar.   The 17 could achieve significantly higher speeds than the 15 due to aerodynamic improvements alone. P-80 SHOOTING STAR  One of the Earliest Kelly Johnson "Skunkworks" planes.  The P-80 (or F-80) saw extensive action in Korea. Armament: 6x 0.50 in (12.7 mm) machine guns                     8x unguided rockets                     2x 1,000 lb (454 kg) bombs Engines:       1× Allison J33-A-35 turbojet Speed:         600 mph (965 km/h)

GLOSTER METEOR The Meteor was the first operational allied Jet fighter of WWII.  Powered by powerful Rolls Royce engines, the Meteor set several world speed records for its time.   During the Korean war, the Meteor was flown by the Royal Australian air force. Armament:   4 x 20 mm British Hispano cannons Engines:        2 x Rolls Royce Derwent 8 turbojets Speed:          Mach 0.82, 600 mph at 10,000 ft.
